Devon came to UBC in September 2025. He was brought to faith in Christ and surrendered to gospel ministry in the summer of 2015, shortly before leaving the Army.
He trained for pastoral ministry at Clear Creek Baptist Bible College in Pineville, KY where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Ministry. Afterwards, he earned a Master of Arts in Christian Apologetics from Liberty University.
He married his wife, Amanda in 2011 and they have been blessed with one daughter and two sons.
